To open a new account or closed an existing one, email: UtilitiesCustomerService@mydelraybeach.com.

  • For opening and closing accounts, please send all required information within 48 hours of start or end date.
  • For new service, deposits will be billed to your account and payable on the due date of your first invoice.

 

Development Services Department Update (July 13, 2020) 

City Hall is a social distancing facility which means at least six feet of distance between people must be maintained. Please observe and follow the markings on the floors to aim with social distancing.  Protective barriers have been installed at the front counter service stations to protect visitors and staff, and hand sanitizing stations have been installed in the lobby. 

Important Information for In-Person Service 

 

1.      Maximum Number of Customers. The Lobby is limited to a maximum of 10 people at a time.  You may be asked to wait outside if 10 people are already in the lobby when you arrive.  If a high number of customers are waiting, you might be given a pager to allow you to wait in your vehicle. 

2.       Everyone must wear a face mask or covering and follow social distancing guidelines at all times while in the building.   

3.      Meetings by Appointment Only. Appointments are required to meet with a plan reviewer or planner.  (Appointments are not required to submit or pick up a building permit. )

Building Division 

 

1.       Building Permits. Individuals can drop-off/pickup building permits, in-person, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday. 

2.       Inspections. To schedule an inspection, please call 561-243-7200, Option 2 or 3.  The automated Selectron service is not in use.  Inspections of occupied residential or commercial buildings is suspended until further notice.   

3.       Meet with a Plan Reviewer. Appointments are required to meet with a plan reviewer. (Appointments are not required to submit or pick up a building permit.) To schedule an appointment with a Building Plan Reviewer please call 561-243-7200, Option 2 or 3. 

 

 

Historic Preservation, Planning & Zoning Division 

 

1.  Appointments. Appointments are required to meet with a planner.   To schedule an appointment, please contact the planner via email or call 561-243-7040, ext. 6055. 

2.        Boards.  Board hearings including: Site Plan Review and Appearance Board, Historic Preservation Board, Planning and Zoning Board, and Board of Adjustment are being held virtually and can be viewed live on the City’s website (link). 

a.       Applications that are ready and have been waiting for hearing dates due to board meeting cancellations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic will be scheduled for board agendas prior to new applications.   

b.       Boards will only meet once per month in the virtual format; regular schedules will resume once it is safe to hold hearings in person.
