Just a few weeks after successfully connecting 60 businesses with more than 200 jobseekers, the City of Delray Beach plans to hold its second city-wide virtual job fair from 2 pm – 5 pm, on August 25, 2021. The event is free to both businesses and job seekers.
For the third consecutive year, the City of Delray Beach’s Purchasing Department has been awarded the prestigious Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) from the National Procurement Institute.
Delray Beach will begin requiring employees to show proof of vaccination or COVID-19 test results. Delray Beach’s Fire-Rescue Department will be administering vaccinations to employees, as well as performing regular PCR testing.
The Delray Beach Business Assistance Task Force is hosting the first-ever, city-wide virtual job fair from 1pm – 4pm, on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. The online event will bring together more than 50 local businesses seeking workers for more than 1,000 job openings.

On July 6, 2021, the City Commission will consider three ordinances to expand the Central Business District (CBD) and establish the South Pairs Neighborhood Sub-district within the area bounded by SE 4th Street, SE 6th Avenue, SE 10th Street, and SE 5th Avenue.
