Lieutenant

GuerrieroLieutenant Nicole Guerriero began her career with the Delray Beach Police Department in September of 1999. Prior to becoming a Delray Beach Police Officer, she was a domestic violence and children’s counselor in the Queens Family Court in Jamaica, New York. Lieutenant Guerriero was on the committee that helped establish the first Child Advocacy Center in the Borough of Queens. She has served in various positions throughout the Delray Beach Police organization. They include: Field Training Officer, Detective, Public Information Officer, Internal Affairs Commander, K9 Commander, Crisis Response Team Commander and Wellness Committee Team Leader. Lieutenant Guerriero was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2009 and promoted to the rank of lieutenant in 2015. She currently serves as a Lieutenant in the Investigative Division. 

Lieutenant Guerriero has a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in organizational leadership, both from Florida Atlantic University. Lieutenant Guerriero is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute Sixty Seventh Command Officers Development Course (University of Louisville), the International Chiefs of Police Women’s Leadership Institute, and the Senior Management Institute for Police. Lieutenant Guerriero has been a certified Rape Aggression Defense Instructor (RAD) instructor since March 2007.
