Lieutenant Michael De Bree has been with the Delray Beach Police Department since 2001.  He was promoted to Sergeant in 2014 and then Lieutenant in 2020.  Some of his past duties include, Road Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, SWAT Team Member, Detective, Police Explorer Advisor, Underwater Search and Recovery Team, Narcotics, Clean and Safe Unit, and Problem Oriented Policing.  Lieutenant De Bree is currently the Support Services Division Commander.  He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida Atlantic University.  His professional affiliations include the Southern Police Institute Command Officers Development Course and the Law Enforcement Executive Development Association.
