Lieutenant Ed McCabe has been with the Delray Beach Police Department since 2002.  He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2015 and Lieutenant & SWAT Team Commander in 2022.  Some of his past duties include Road Patrol Officer, SWAT Team Operator, Narcotics , Training Unit and Tactical Team Officer and supervisor.  Lieutenant McCabe is currently the day shift Watch Commander for community Patrol.  He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida.  His professional affiliations include the Senior Management Institute of Policing (SMIP) and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA).
