Lieutenant Brian Cambell began his law enforcement career with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Department of Corrections in 1998, In October of 2002, he joined the Delray Beach Police Department. Cambell was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in December 2012 and to the rank of Lieutenant November 2022. During his tenure, he served in the Community Patrol Division, the West Atlantic Avenue Task Force, the Detective Bureau Property Division, and the Crime Suppression Unit. As a Sergeant, Cambell supervised the Community Patrol Division, the Criminal Intelligence Unit, and the Vice, Intelligence and Narcotics Unit. Lieutenant Cambell is currently assigned to the Community Patrol Division as a nighttime shift commander. Lieutenant Cambell has been PBA representative since 2014. He has also been involved as a driver/operator of the Mobile Command Center, and a committee member of the Departments Wellness Initiative.

Lieutenant attended County College of Morris in New Jersey, earning an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, He is currently enrolled at Columbia Southern University, working towards his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
