Captain Anthony Martinez is commander of the Community Patrol Division. He began his career at the Delray Beach Police Department in 2004. Martinez has worked as an officer in road patrol, Street Narcotics Unit and was the Crime Suppression Unit detective. He was promoted to sergeant in 2012, lieutenant in 2018 and captain in August 2022. Captain Martinez has worked on the SWAT team since 2007 and served as the SWAT commander. He is a South Florida native and attended high school in Hollywood, Fl.  Captain Martinez attended UCF and graduated from Nova Southeastern with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Management.
