Neighborhood and Community Services staff is helping residents apply for rental assistance grants through the Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus (CDBG-CV), which has limited funds remaining for eligible Delray Beach residents. Properties must be located within the City of Delray Beach target area and applicants must show proof of COVID-19 hardship.

Who can apply?

These funds can be used for up to three months of past due rental assistance payments for income eligible residents who have experienced hardships (unemployed/underemployed) due to the COVID-19 emergency. Applicants must be individuals/households making no more than 80% of the area median income as allocated by the US. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

How to Apply

The application period will begin starting January 25th and continue until funds have been exhausted. Please call 561-243-7280 to schedule an appointment to confirm eligibility, location and to pick-up the application or request it by email. Neighborhood Services Division is located at City Hall, 100 NW 1st Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33444 from Monday-Friday between 8 AM – 5PM.

Applicants will need to provide the following:

1. Completed Application Form
2. Most recent 4 to 6 consecutive pay stubs for all household members who work
3. Provide copies of bank statements for all household members

•  Last six (6) months for checking account
• Most recent one month for savings account

5. Provide copies of driver’s license/picture ID and review of social security cards for anyone living in the household

6. Most recent Federal Income Tax Return

7. Proof of number of dependents

8. Current Lease Agreement

*Priority preference will be given to those that have not been granted assistance through previous COVID-19 relief.
