What is CodeRED?

We use CodeRED to provide critical information via voice calls, text messages and emails to residents, businesses and visitors during emergency situations, disasters, and extreme weather events. CodeRED is also be used to communicate non-life safety matters, such as planned road closures, water main repairs, water and power service interruptions, or other general announcements.

How to Sign up for CodeRED 

There is no charge to register or use CodeRED and your personal information will always remain confidential. Stay informed! Sign up for CodeRED.

CodeRED Mobile Alert App

You can now receive enhanced public safety alerts no matter where you are located via the CodeRED Mobile Alert app, a free public safety app for both Android and iPhone users. The mobile app delivers community and emergency alerts to individuals currently located within the impacted area. The app allows you to receive timely notifications when you are on the road or away from home.

• Weather warnings and updates on hazardous conditions
• Evacuation orders and instructions
• Boil water notices
• Utility outages

ALERTPBC is Palm Beach County’s Emergency Notification System allowing you to opt-in to receive notifications via phone calls, text messaging, email, and more based on locations you care about. You can choose to receive notifications about events that may affect your home, workplace, family’s schools, and more.

How AlertPBC Works

When they issue a notification about a potential safety hazard or concern, you will receive a message on the voice or text communication methods that you have registered. If requested for the notification, you can confirm that you have received the message and you will not be contacted by any subsequent methods regarding that particular notification. If you do not confirm, the system will continue to attempt to reach you at all of the contact paths that you have registered.

How to sign up for AlertPBC

Sign up online for AlertPBC and Choose which cities you would like to receive public safety notifications from. You can choose as many cities as you would like. County public safety notifications will be received automatically. All information provided will be kept strictly confidential.
