Amendments to the LDR (adopted but not yet available on municode)
- Flood Damage: City initiated Ordinance No. 05-24. Adopted November 4, 2024.
- Limited Indoor Dining: City initiated Ordinance No. 20-24. Adopted November 4, 2024.
- Fertilizer Management: City initiated Ordinance No. 28-24. Adopted November 4, 2024.
Requesting an Amendment to the LDR.
Members of the public may request an amendment through the process outlined below.
- Pre-Application Meeting: A pre-application meeting with City staff is required to discuss the potential amendment and allow staff to provide direction. Please follow the link for detailed directions on submitting a meeting request.
- Commission Sponsorship:
- During a public meeting, at least one City Commissioner shall sponsor the request to be placed on a Workshop agenda in the months of October, January, April, or July.
- A request must be submitted to the City Manager's office at least 60 calendar days prior to a scheduled Workshop. No more than 3 requests will be scheduled for a Workshop. If 3 requests are already scheduled, the next request will be scheduled for the following available Workshop.
- Upcoming submittal deadlines and workshop dates are:
- April 11, 2023
- July 2023: TBD
- October 2023: TBD
- Please visit the City's meeting calendar for detailed dates and information.
- At the Workshop, at least 3 City Commissioners shall support the request in order for the request to move forward.
- At least three City Commissioners sponsored my request, now what?: Applications for a City Commission sponsored LDR amendment must be submitted to the Development Services Department within 90 days of the City Commission Workshop where the amendment was sponsored.
- Requests shall not deviate from the amendment considered by the City Commission at the Workshop by including additional unrelated amendments or development standards, proposing higher density or intensity, adding uses that were not discussed or understood to be part of the initial request, etc.

Pending Amendments to the LDR
These amendments have been reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Board, but not yet approved by the City Commission. Pending amendments can be found on the identified meeting agenda.
- In-Lieu Parking: City initiated Ordinance No. 14-24. Planning and Zoning Board July 15, 2024. City Commission 1st Reading November 19, 2024. City Commission 2nd Reading December 10, 2024.
- Private Parking: City initiated Ordinance No. 19-24. Planning and Zoning Board August 12, 2024. City Commission 1st and 2nd Reading TBD.
