Want your kids to get an up-close look at exciting fire rescue and police demonstrations, trucks, motorcycles and more? Join us this Saturday at a Public Safety Open House event hosted by Delray Beach Fire Rescue and the Delray Beach Police Department. The event is free and open to the public and will also feature children’s activities such as a bounce house, face painting, Sparky the Fire Dog and a kids’ obstacle course.

There will be a live fire demonstration that addresses the importance of fire sprinklers and closing bedroom doors at night, fire sprinklers and more. DBFR’s Ocean Rescue division lifeguards will give hands-only CPR training. Jemimah the Comfort Dog will be there. The police department will have it’s ice cream truck, and there will also be free hot dogs, snacks and water.
Attendees will be able to get valuable information from participants such as the Alzheimer’s Association, Bethesda Hospital, Delray Medical Center, Gift of Life Marrow Registry, the Healthcare District of Palm Beach County, City Of Delray Beach Neighborhood Services, the Area Agency on Aging Of Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast, Commanding Your Care, Eat Better Live Better, Verizon and Devoted Health Plans.
