Project Background
The City of Delray Beach was awarded a federally funded grant from the Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency (TPA) under its Local Initiatives Program for the Germantown Road Complete Streets Project. The grant will partially fund approximately 40% of the construction, and the remaining 60% will be funded by the City.
Enhancements, including multi-use paths along both sides of Germantown Road, will be completed from Old Germantown Road to South Congress Avenue.
The City of Delray Beach has contracted Propel Engineering, Inc. to provide engineering and surveying services. The services will include the preparation of a construction plan and improvements to pedestrian-scale lighting and signing and pavement markings. All work will be done in the existing right-of-way.
Design documents for the construction of this project will be provided as part of the City’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The design will be strictly limited to the scope included in the grant agreement award from the TPA.
