The City of Delray Beach and Erin L. Deady, P.A. will host an interactive panel discussion entitled “Resilience Around the Region”.  The panel will be led by Erin L. Deady, of Erin L. Deady, P.A. a Delray Beach-based environmental law and urban planning firm.  Our speakers include:

• Megan Houston, Director of the Palm Beach County Office of Resilience,
• Dr. Jennifer Jurado, Deputy Director of the Resilient Environment Department and Chief Resilience Officer for Broward County
• Penelope Redford, Resilience and Climate Change Manager, Office of Sustainability City of West Palm Beach. 

This session will focus on resiliency efforts in Palm Beach County, the City of West Palm Beach and Broward County to provide lessons learned and insights from around the region.  Speakers will highlight resiliency efforts that are unique to their community that will provide case studies on challenges and opportunities with their communities.  The panel will also discuss recent state initiatives and the intersection of resiliency with the development, planning, funding and legal implications of preparing for climate change.  The formal presentations will run for approximately 1 hour with time for community discussion and questions.  The goal of the “Resilience Around the Region” panel is to help the community learn more about the various efforts that are being undertaken in our part of the State to prioritize resilience planning and investments.  We hope to be able to provide a great interactive session and bring your ideas and questions so we can have a really interactive session!
